E-mail delivery failing with error 'retry timeout exceeded'?

If you are having problems receiving email on your account and are unsure as to what the problem maybe, you should always check that your mailbox is not full or that you have sufficient disk space on your account to accept the message.

You may receive the message below if you not have enough space to accept the message;

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

email@domain.com
retry timeout exceeded


Once you have deleted some files on your account or increased your disk space, mail should then be accepted immediately without further problem.

Any mail that was sent to your address whilst you are over quota will be rejected to the sender of the message.
