| Domain Transfer |

Generic Domains (.com/.net/.org/.info etc) |

1. |
Our transfer
process is e-mail verification based. So if your
e-mail address listed for the administrative contact
of the domain is incorrect then we will be unable to
transfer your domain. Do a
WHOIS search and
make sure that you have correct e-mail address
listed in the administrative contacts. |

2. |
Please make sure your
domain name is not expired. It is advisable to
initiate your transfer at least 7 days prior to
expire date, so there will be enough time to
complete the process. |
|
3. |
You can only transfer
.com, .net, .org, .info, .biz, .us, .cc, .eu, .tv,
.in and .cn domains
at this time. We will add more TLDs soon. |

4. |
If you are
transferring .com, .net, .info, .us, .biz, .org and
.cc domains, please obtain an EPP authentication
code from your current registrar (where the
domain is currently registered) and enter it in the
EPP Key field.
If you don't have the EPP/Auth code, then we cannot
complete the .com, .net, .info, .us ,.biz ,.org and
.cc domain name transfer. |

5. |
We cannot transfer
domains that are less than 60 days old. If you
registered your domain within the last 60 days,
please wait until after 60 days before requesting a
transfer to us. |

6. |
Many registrars place
locks on your domains automatically for security. So, if the domain is locked, then
no matter who requests a transfer, it will be
automatically rejected.
Please
contact your current registrar and make sure that
there are no holds or locks when transferring your
domain name. |

7. |
The .com, .net, .info,
.us ,.biz ,.org and .cc Domain transfers add 1 year
onto your expire date, so you don't lose any time
you have paid for.
There is one exception to this
rule: If the domain was recently reactivated from an
expired state, you will not get a year added to the
expire date. |

UK Domains (.co.uk/.org.uk/.me.uk) |
|
1. |
Place an order (transfer
is free).
Please contact your current registrar and ask them;
-
"To update the IPS TAG on yourdomain.uk to
ARHOSTER"
Your current registrar is contractually obliged to
retag the domain in a "reasonable" time,
though they may charge you for the "privilege"
|

2. |
You may be asked to
provide nameserver information, if so, please refer
to your account activation e-mail. |
|
3. |
Relax! Leave
the rest to us. We will configure the domain to work
with your hosting package,
if you have one. |
|
4. |
N.B.
that
retagging your domain to our tag without placing an
order could result in your domain being detagged as
our systems will not know it's meant to be there. |

Login to your
account to obtain
the EPP/Auth key/code for your domain name and
unlock your domain name. |
|
3. |
Initiate a transfer
from your new registrar (the international domain
transfer mechanism is a pull, not push, system). |
|
4. |
You will get two
emails, the first from your new registrar requesting
confirmation. |
|
5. |
We will send you an
email, checking that you really really want to
leave, are you sure?. |
|
6. |
The domain transfer
will be handled automatically after that, it is up
to your new host to configure your domain name to
work with your hosting. |

UK Domains (.co.uk/.org.uk/.me.uk) |
|
